One's Own Merit


"For there is poverty and wealth in every occupation. One's occupation does not cause poverty, nor does it bring wealth. All is determined on the basis of one's merit." Babylonian Talmud 82a

  1. Love this. Years ago I fell into a role that was collecting debt (!) However I excelled at it because I treated default payers with respect and always believed that they wanted to pay their bills....due to this respect, they paid me first and I excelled at the role.
