New Plants for the Garden.

Last week I bought some new plants for the garden.

I have been wanting Lemon Balm for quite some time, and the Thyme looked so lovely and lush that I easily weakened and bought it too. I am thinking I might keep the Thyme on the kitchen widow sill.

I also bought a chilli plant. The strength of the chilli is a three out of 10. So not so hot.

I planted out some snow-pea seedlings today. These were from some seeds I had saved. The humidity is so low here that being outside if it there is the slightest breeze is causing havoc with my eyes, causing them to become dry and extremely irritated.

  1. Do you use eye drops? Even just the common ones?

I have to, in the morning.

    1. Yes I use Bion Tear which is a lubricant drop recommended by both my optometrist and eye specialist. I am supposed to use the drops three to four times a day.

  2. Hope your eyes feel better soon!

I really enjoyed regularly snipping back my herbs and drying them. There were enough for fresh but now I also have several jars full of dehydrated herbs for my winter cooking.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting!

    1. You are very welcome Cheri.

I am really just beginning to start planting herbs here. I look forward to being able to have them on hand for when I am cooking.

  3. That's funny, Sherri, my eyes have been horribly dry and scratchy the last couple of weeks too and I never thought it could be the low humidity causing it ... I've been blaming the fact that I am always forgetting my glasses! Lemon balm is a lovely plant to grow, I love the pungent lemon of its leaves. I am chasing some pineapple sage for my garden. Meg:)
